Sustainability

Social investment

Education, local enterprise and community health in the governorates where we operate — funded on multi-year commitments, not one-off gifts.

Falaj's social investment framework directs spending to three areas and refuses most things outside them. Commitments run for three years or more, because a one-year grant to a school programme buys equipment and no continuity.

In-country value is treated as part of the same effort rather than a separate procurement metric. The group's ICV index stands at 38.4 per cent against a 45 per cent target for 2030, and the largest single lever is qualifying local suppliers into scopes that were previously imported whole.

Where the money goes

Education and skills

Scholarships, laboratory funding, teacher training and after-school science programmes — including the OMR 618,000 committed to the Al Buraimi Science and Innovation Centre.

Local enterprise

Supplier qualification, prompt-payment terms for small local vendors, and technical support to help them meet the standards that our scopes require.

Community health

Primary care access and emergency response capability in the remote governorates where our fields sit, coordinated with regional health authorities.

Sponsorship requests

We accept sponsorship requests through the contact form. To be considered, a request needs:

  • A named beneficiary organisation with a registration number
  • A defined outcome and how it will be measured
  • A budget showing what our contribution would specifically fund
  • A location within a governorate where Falaj operates
  • Alignment with education, local enterprise or community health
  • A named contact who can answer follow-up questions

Submit a sponsorship request

Requests are reviewed quarterly. We reply to every submission, including the ones we decline.
