Vendors
Vendors and suppliers
Four thousand two hundred registered vendors, and a qualification route designed so a local supplier can actually clear it.
Falaj's supply chain is deliberately weighted towards local suppliers. In-country value stands at 38.4 per cent against a 45 per cent target for 2030, and most of the remaining gap is in scopes that are currently imported whole rather than in prices.
Qualification is proportionate to risk. A scope that touches safety-critical equipment carries a full technical and HSSE audit; a scope that does not carries a document check and a site visit. We do not apply an oilfield-major qualification burden to a supplier of scaffolding.
Becoming a registered vendor
- 01
Register
Submit company registration, ownership, financial statements and the scopes you want to be considered for.
- 02
Screening
Sanctions, ownership and conflict-of-interest screening, plus a check against our anti-bribery requirements.
- 03
Technical qualification
Proportionate to the scope: document review, technical audit or a full HSSE and quality audit for safety-critical work.
- 04
Framework or tender
Qualified vendors are placed on the bidder list for their scopes and invited to tender as work arises.
What we expect of suppliers
- Compliance with the Falaj code of conduct, in full, at every tier
- No recruitment fees charged to workers — at any tier, ever
- No retention of worker passports or identity documents
- Audit rights over accommodation, pay records and working hours
- The same stop-work authority for your people as for ours
- Prompt payment passed down to your own subcontractors
